6 Derwent Charcoal pencils, neatly housed in a Derwent silver tin, with a pencil sharpener included. Charcoal pencils give you greater control over your drawings, while keeping those rich, bold, and expressive charcoal effects.
Often used for life studies, charcoal is a very traditional, chalky art material, but encasing in wood to make a pencil, gives Derwent Charcoal a more contemporary feel. The three grades offer a rich range of tones from the deepest black to the most delicate grey. Use the Tinted Charcoal White pencil included in this sketching set to add highlights.
Smudge and blend easily with a paper stump or finger, or manipulate with a wet brush, due to the naturally soluble formulation.
Use with other Derwent Charcoal and Tinted Charcoal products for a more dramatic effect.
